Holly discovered Pilates in the USA. Loving the whole movement experience she has worked hard to keep this aspect of the work alive, working upstream sometimes against the alternatives to so called Pilates on offer in the UK. Holly is credited with bringing the first Classical Training Program to London. Her studio in now internationally recognised as a Fully Comprehensive Training Centre for The Method of Joseph Pilates, the first of its kind in the UK.
Holly has fought hard against the whims of the fitness industry and stayed true to her belief in the healing process of The Method to re-educate the body to remind it of the care-free movement of youth.

Alexis is originally from the east coast of America in Virginia and relocated to Windsor, England in 2008. As a classically trained ballet dancer she danced professionally for 10 years, dancing with such companies as the Richmond Ballet in Richmond, Virginia for 3 years; The Lexington Ballet in Lexington, Kentucky for 3 years; and 4 more years in Annapolis, Maryland, finishing her career with the Ballet Theatre of Maryland in spring of 2008.
Alexis discovered Pilates at Evolutions Body Clinic in Annapolis in 2004. Pilates benefited Alexis in her career as a dancer. As she progressed in her Pilates training she became stronger, her balance improved and she felt more efficient in her movements. Having discovered the benefits of Pilates in her own body, she began the Power Pilates teaching certification in Annapolis in 2005.
Alexis continued her education in New York City where she became a fully certified Power Pilates instructor for all levels including Beginner through Advanced Mat and Levels I, II and III of the Power Pilates Systems Training Program. In 2012 Alexis was invited to become a Power Pilates Teacher Trainer.
As a trained singer and performer Georgie discovered Pilates to eliminate headaches from neck and shoulder tension brought on by bad posture. Since discovering the brilliant outcomes of regular practice she has used Pilates to aid her singing and on going passion for sport, movement, health and wellbeing.
Georgie began her career as a Pilates instructor in 2010 and in 2012 completed her Power Pilates training at Pi Studio and is now a fully certified instructor in The Method of Joseph Pilates.

Growing up, Holly was always very active, pursing a love for gymnastics and dancing. After competing on a national level in British gymnastics, she went on to become a professional dancer.
She continued to dance alongside university in Oxford where she graduated with a business and marketing degree.
Due to her sporting background, Holly suffered from bad knees and hypo-mobility, Pilates gave her the strengthening she needed to support her flexibility. She completely fell in love with The Pilates Method which led her down the path to a career in the Pilates world after training at Pi Studio.
Marsha discovered Pilates through working with Holly as a studio administrator at Pi Studio Battersea. Over time, her Pilates addiction grew and she finally decided that Pilates was the way forward in her life. From there she trained through The Program at Pi Studio and is now a fully qualified instructor in The Method of Joseph Pilates.
She strongly believes in The Method as has seen the benefits of practicing in many people who have their own individual needs. And just as importantly, she practices the exercises every day.

Aafke discovered Classical Pilates several years ago when her life felt like it was on a rollercoaster: She was working for the European Parliament in Brussels three days a week and studying for her MA in International Politics and Journalism in London the rest of the week. Her life consisted of a bi-weekly international commute, long stressful office hours and nights writing essays. She soon discovered that her weekly Pilates sessions played a large part in keeping her going and after every session she felt stronger, rested and more focused. She loved how Pilates cleared her mind and strengthened and toned her body unlike any other workout. Noticing her colleagues and friends all working crazy hours and juggling busy work and life schedules, Aafke wanted Pilates to help them in the way it had helped her. On completing her MA, she decided to follow her passion for Pilates and began her teacher training apprenticeship with The Pilates Standard at Pi Studio. She is now a fully certified instructor in The Method of Joseph Pilates.You never stop learning with Pilates and you certainly won‘t get bored!
Certified in The Method of Joseph Pilates in 2011 in London here at Pi Studio. Being a general mountain goat, Lizzie started Pilates about 10 years ago to help with a persistent lower back problem a side effect of spending most of her life on the Austrian ski slopes. She discovered quickly how consistent correct movements prevented further injury and generally helped her in her personal life with everything from balance to concentration.
Christine began her Pilates training whilst training as a professional dancer at the Royal Ballet School. She has continued to combine her choreographic career with the study and practice of Pilates by first gaining teaching certification at Pilates International and then completing the comprehensive Power Pilates Teaching Certification at Pi Studio Battersea in 2009.
Debra Berzin Cohen
Debra had her first taste of Pilates 19 years ago, after being involved in a car crash, resulting in a severe whiplash injury, and after complications for having twins. She says that Pilates enabled her to remain positive, keep her body strong yet supple, to prepare her for pregnancy and birth
Debra began her career as a Pilates teacher in 2010 and in 2012 completed her Power Pilates Classical training at Pi Studio with Holly Murray. Debra is constantly stretching her mind as well as her body, with Continuing Education.
Dawn Noel Elter
In the year 2000 Dawn came to Pilates through a serious spinal injury brought on by dance. Aiming to avoid surgery, medication and injections for the intense pain she was suffering, Dawn found herself at the door of a London Pilates studio. After 6 months of improvement, she began researching Joseph Pilates. Drawn in by the ideology of the classical method of not just healing the body but also healing the minds connection to it, she set off on a journey to obtain her classical certification in the home of Pilates, New York City.
During her time as an instructor in New York she has taken many continuing education courses with the likes of classical Pilates legends such as Bob Leikins, Christina Glogger, Brett Howard, Kathy Grant and Alycea Ungaro.
Dawn has over 9 years experience working with people of all ages and conditions including celebrities, professional dancers and athletes.
I first discovered Pilates about 5 years ago when I worked as a receptionist at Spiral Body Studio, Kensington. I could see for myself the effect that Pilates had on people training and it’s then that I decided to try out the classes.
I absolutely fell in love with Classical Pilates.
I had tried lots of different types of exercise over the years, but had never found something that could make me feel strong, flexible and grow a mind and body connection. As a mother of young children, Pilates did all of that and changed my body.
I then decided to take my learning of the Pilates method to the next level and study to become a Classical Pilates Teacher. I have completed the Fully Comprehensive training program with Holly at Pi. It was an amazing and intense experience to do the program with Holly. Subsequently, I completed workshops with Bob Liekens.
I am extremely passionate about Classical Pilates and I want to pass this on to my clients, so that they too can love it!
Kate has always loved exercising and thought that you had to lift massive weights to see results. When she injured her shoulder someone suggested she try Pilates. She was delighted with the improvement not only to her shoulder but also the changes in her whole physical appearance…she had longer leaner looking muscles! And actually became stronger in the process. Kate trained as a Classical Pilates teacher in Joseph Pilates’ method in 2011 and continues to enhance her knowledge by taking regular workshops. She continues to be surprised by the amazing benefits of Pilates!
Rachel was training to be a solicitor when she began suffering with back pain. She started taking P0ilates classes, which not only resolved her back problems but made her feel better physically and mentally.
She became fascinated with the Pilates method and wanted to help people feel as good as Pilates was making her feel so decided to retrain as a pilates teacher. She completed the Power Pilates programme, which involved her training in London, New York and LA and she considers it to be the best decision she has ever made!
She enjoys seeing all the positive effects Pilates has on her clients and continues to attend regular classes to keep fit and healthy and to keep her knowledge up to date.
Gemma was introduced to Pilates over 10 years ago, after finding a cure for her sciatica. The pain relief was almost instant and long lasting and she was immediately hooked.
She began her career as a Pilates teacher in 2011, completing the Power Pilates Classical training, which consisted of over 700 hours of teaching, observation and training.
Gemma loves her job and is inspired by the way Pilates realigns, motivates, and improves all bodies and walks of life. After having two children in a short space of time, she’s experienced firsthand how Pilates can strengthen and rehabilitate the body.
She’s thrilled to be teaching at pi studio and is eager to share all of Pilates’ benefits, both physical and mental. After a class with Gemma you’ll walk out feeling longer and stronger!
After sustaining a spinal injury and suffering pain for a long time Jane was recommended to take up Pilates. She did and it changed her life! It made her feel much fitter and stronger than she had in ages and it also filled a gap that had been there since being a young gymnast.
After a few years Jane decided to share this ‘gift’ and so began her challenging journey into the world of teaching Classical Pilates.
Jane completed the comprehensive training in the Pilates Method with Holly at pi studio and is now in a position to pass this method on so that others can gain the benefits too.
Yarit is a certified Classical Pilates and Garuda teacher in both mat and full studio equipment.
She was introduced to Pilates whilst training in contemporary dance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London. While working as a dancer she suffered from an injury and started rehabilitation via equipment Pilates after which she decided to become a teacher of the method.
She certified in Classical Pilates with Alison Goodman’s “Pilates Passport” Bridging Programme (London, UK) and Dror Raz Classical Pilates and Physiotherapy (Tel-Aviv, Israel). To continue her professional development she studied with 2nd generation Pilates teachers such as MeJo Wiggins, Kathryn Ross-Nash and Blossom Leilani-Crawford.
She is also certified by James D’Silva (founder of Garuda) as a Garuda Mat, and Equipment teacher. Yarit certified in Pre and Postnatal Pilates with Carolyne Anthony’s Center for Women’s Fitness (USA) and with Polstar Pilates.
Apart from Pilates, Yarit works as a movement and fight choreographer for theatre and currently teaches movement, physical theatre and stage combat to actors in various drama conservatories across the UK.
